I planned on scanning all my sketches, but instead I ended up scanning myself. After I saw the pictures, I edited them and they turned into something else....
For our finals in our Design Principles class, we were asked to create a pavilion model (that would blend with our building, the SDA, if it were to be built in front of it) with the assigned concept of rhythm. In rhythmic architecture, there must be a harmony of form and pattern. There must also be a sense of motion and direction.
our building the SDA:
this was our final output:
looks very chaotic in the right side view
"your pavilion as compared to in music, would be ROCK."
front view
Looks so much better, doesn't it?
"In rhythm, we find order in the midst of chaos"

Speaking of rhythm, here are some new songs for ya ♩♪♬
I'm on my 4 day "term break' - Thurs to Sunday. How fun. (Sarcasm) and I plan on just drawing, reading and sleeping during this so called 'break'. Well, here are some old drawings of mine I found in my old sketchpad :-)
i'll keep practicing! heh
FOR U: some songs i've added to my newest playlist, enjoy ♫♪♫♪
Vapours - Islands
you know i had my share of doubt, until i saw the vapours in your eyes
Long distance call - Phoenix
I'm far gone but your long distance call And your capital letters keep me asking for more
It's never been like that
It's never been like that
Postcards from Italy - Beirut
The times we had
Oh, when the wind would blow with rain and snow Were not all bad We put our feet just where they had, had to go
Very new to this, but I've always wanted to start an art/music/anything creatively inspired type of blog... And since i'm currently a freshman at an art school here in Manila, I thought this would be the perfect time to make one.
For my first entry, I'll be posting 2 of my History sketches
My first pot drawing. Did this for History class, and yes, I kind of concentrated on the details there (Pottery in Japan, Jomon period)
The Venus of Willendorf. The most famous early image of a woman. She is fertile of heart, mind and body. (Paleolithic age)
I know..I'm not very good.. But I'll practice, and soon enough you'll see some progress (Hopefully!)
Well, that's a start. I will now hit the sheets and hopefully think of other things to blog about. Eggciting. x
